Description:
Dr. Tremblay will briefly highlight trends in healthy active living behaviors while focusing on accumulating evidence that sedentary behavior is an independent risk factor for premature morbidity and mortality. The Canadian Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines for Children will be presented and will serve as an opportunity to challenge the U.S. to develop similar guidelines. Delegates will be challenged to reorient their behavioral modification advice for patients as well as their own lifestyles.
