Intermediate Electrocardiography (EKG) Workshop is organized by Nurse Practitioner Associates for Continuing Education (NPACE).

Description:
This course will use a hands on approach with real cases to understand the high risk ekg findings. We will cover what to look for on a sports physical EKG, what patients need to be referred to the ER and which findings can wait for cardiology referral. We will also cover STEMI and subtle ischemia the machine will miss. Participants will get a hands on workbook to use during the course and a cheat sheet.

Learning Objectives:
After taking part in this educational activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Identify lethal patterns that can lead to sudden death in young people
  • Identify wellens warning
  • Identify Posterior MI
