Integrative Addiction Medicine: What is it? What is the Evidence? is organized by California Society of Addiction Medicine (CSAM) and will be held during Nov 30, 2015 - Nov 29, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is Addiction medicine specialists who want an overview of the latest develMedical Conferences opments in the field and their relevance to clinical practice, Primary care clinicians who want to get a better understanding of addiction and manage patients with addictions in their practice, Public health officials who want an understanding of the current state of addiction treatment, Non-physicians who are involved in the treatment of addiction. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Description :
Conventional addiction medicine practice tends to not focus enough on integrating mindufulness practices, exercise, nutritional and other integrative and holistic care approaches.
Conference Objectives are :
• Understand and apply principles of integrative medicine as applied to addiction medicine treatment.
• Introduction to some of the evidence base for using integrative medicine approaches with patients in recovery.
• Work with patients in recovery to integrate approaches, such as, mindfulness practice, sleep hygeine and exercise.
