OVERVIEW

Insights to Improve Responses to Immunotherapies: A Simulation Center Approach to Identifying Patients Who May Benefit from Predictive Biomarkers is organized by Med Learning Group.

Description:
This simulated activity depicts conversations between an oncologist, a pathologist, and a patient diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). You will watch as they engage with each other throughout the various stages of a patient’s journey, from the initial pathologic and oncologic workup at initial presentation to disease recurrence. You will participate in the simulation by answering questions throughout the activity. A brief slide presentations is available within each simulation center activity to enhance your understanding of immunological biomarkers.

Learning Objectives:
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:

  • Summarize the utility of predicative immune-related biomarkers for the treatment of patients with cancer
  • Evaluate the challenges and limitations associated with predictive biomarker testing for patients with cancer eligible for treatment with immunotherapies
  • Cite relevant data concerning patients with cancer most likely to benefit from immunotherapies through the incorporation of predictive biomarker testing in routine clinical practice
