Overview of Course:
This course is designed to introduce the healthcare professional to a systemic approach in understanding the basic physiology of blood chemistry. The overview of the course will discuss the various associated labs to help recognize patterns that might warrant referrals, necessitate co-management, or need further diagnostics to help patients. Since labs provide objective, reproducible, and reliable results, possessing a good working knowledge of basic labs can directly improve patient outcomes.
