This CE webinar discusses the new “scaling” dental code. This code reports scaling where an evaluation can be performed; there is no bone loss, but there is moderate or severe gingival inflammation present. This procedure would typically be followed a few weeks later by a prophylaxis as determined by the dentist.

Learning Objectives:
• The participant will learn the appropriateness of when to report D4346
• The participant will learn how to document D4346 via intraoral camera and charting
• The participant will learn when it is appropriate to report prophylaxis (D1110), and full mouth debridement (D4355) vs. D4346
