Program Description:
HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer is an aggressive form of breast cancer, with treatment goals which include delaying disease progression, prolonging life expectancy, and decreasing patient symptoms. Various treatment options are available for patients with HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer, with the cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) inhibitors being used with increased frequency. As these specified medications are associated with unique adverse effects, pharmacists can play an essential role in medication selection, patient education, and tailoring of treatment plans based on patient-specific factors.
