All nurses, especially new nurses, need to understand their legal liability in their daily practice. School nurses are not any different and share the same liability as another nurse. This program has been developed to help the learner to understand what their liability of daily practice is and how to protect themselves.

As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners will be able to:

  • List potential plaintiffs in a school nursing malpractice case.
  • Identify the most common nursing lawsuit against school nurses.
  • Summarize how the standard of nursing care is identified.
