Description:
This 2-hour course provides evidence-based treatment/management strategies for patients with certain types of pain and or substance abuse disorders. This course has been approved by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board as meeting the requirements for a continuing education course on the responsible opioid prescribing guidelines per Med 13.03(3) of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.
Learning Objectives:
Learners who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Review the epidemiology of opioid use disorder (OUD)
- Identify methods to reduce harm in patients with OUD
- Develop plans to help patients with OUD
