Heart Failure Module-1: Prevalence and Prevention is organized by RnCeus Interactive and will be held from Feb 05, 2019 - Jun 13, 2022.

Target Audience:
Heart Failure Module-1: Prevalence and Prevention is designed for nurses who may accept the responsibility for monitoring or managing patients with heart failure or those at risk for heart failure.

• To earn 3 contact hours, participants must confirm a minimum of 180 minutes engaged in the study of course material, suggested web resources, instant feedback and completion of the exam and evaluation.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the learner shall be able to:
• Describe the prevalence of heart failure.
• Compare the three classification systems for HF.
• Describe risk factors that predispose patients to HF.
• Discuss the Renal Angiotensin Aldosterone System as a target for pharmacologic intervention.
• Discuss pharmacologic and interventional strategies used to manage the effects of cardiac remodelling caused by hypertension, atherosclerosis, asymptomatic valve disease, substance abuse, etc.
• Contrast the effects of concentric remodelling with eccentric remodelling.
