Guidelines into Practice: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is organized by American Heart Association (AHA) and would be held during May 01, 2015 - Apr 30, 2018.The Target audience basically for this Event Cardiologists.This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The American Heart Association is launching a new educational series entitled, Guidelines into Practice, designed to enhance participants' awareness, knowledge and applicability of newly released guidelines as applied to their interactions with cardiovascular disease and stroke patients. The format includes an online CME/CE program with enduring materials that will be developed based upon highlights of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy guidelines, case studies to illustrate patient applicability and resource materials. Continuing education credit will be available for physicians and nurses.
Objectives
•Discuss important indicators for considering a diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
•List common misdiagnoses for HCM and describe how practitioners can avoid errors.
•Identify those individuals who are most in need of genetic testing for HCM.
•Use a treatment algorithm to choose the most appropriate strategies for diagnosing and treating HCM.
•Identify the most appropriate HCM patients for ICDs, alcohol septal ablation or septal myectomy.
•Apply the recommendations from the new AHA/ACCF guidelines to a simulated scenario and to their practice, improving the quality of care that patients with HCM receive.
