This course provides attendees with relevant information regarding new developments in gastroenterology and new approaches to the management of gastrointestinal diseases.
Topics include:
- Dealing with Gas and Bloating
- Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease: What Is New?
Learning Objectives:
- Differentiate between bloating, distension and flatulence.
- Describe the basic physiology of intestinal gas.
- List the common factors that contribute to bloating/distension and flatulence.
- Be able to recommend appropriate treatment strategies.
- Discuss the magnitude of fatty liver disease.
- Explain the natural history of fatty liver disease.
- Examine recent therapeutic strategies.
