OVERVIEW

Expand Your Practice And Save A Life With Oral Cancer Examination Techniques is organized by Dentaltown, L.L.C.

Released: 6/30/2021
Expiration Date: 6/30/2028

Description:
One person every hour of every day dies from oral cancer. The five-year survival rate is less than 50/50. Why? Because we as professionals do not do all we can to diagnose oral cancer at its earliest stage when the 5 -year survival rate can be as high as 80%. With the current technology on the market today, there is no reason for a dentist to miss an early diagnosis of a lesion. There are many excellent diagnostic tools to help dentists perform complete oral cancer exams. The purpose of the course is to familiarize the dentist and hygienist with a simple oral cancer examination technique using nothing more than a piece of gauze, and a mouth mirror. Adjunctive fluorescence visualization devices will also be discussed.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to achieve the following:
• Be able to perform a complete oral cancer examination
• Understand the use of adjunctive fluorescence visualization devices when performing an oral cancer examination
• Know when to perform a biopsy – and when to refer
• Know how to market this service and bill insurance companies
• Be able to confidently start performing comprehensive oral cancer examinations in their offices upon completion of this course.

Note: The fee to view this course is $36. This cost includes the fee to take the exam and claim your CE credits.
