Evolving Recommendations in LDL-C Management is organized by Pri-Med and will be held during Feb 02, 2017 - Feb 02, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is Cardiologists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Overview :
This program covers the treatment of patients with elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels and increased risks for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Using a series of case examples, expert faculty review clinical practice guidelines on LDL-C management and discuss the profiles and appropriate use of newer nonstatin lipid-lowering therapies.
Learning Objectives :
• Individualize treatment goals for patients with dyslipidemia to reflect the latest clinical practice guidelines
• Describe the mechanism of action and clinical profiles of new PCSK9 inhibitors for hypercholesterolemia, including patient populations that may benefit from these therapies • Tailor multimodal lipid-lowering regimens based on current lipid profiles, cardiovascular risks, treatment responses, and patient preferences
• Communicate with patients to promote treatment adherence and encourage shared decision making during ongoing preventative care
