Evaluation and Management of Hemophilia in the Emergency Department is organized by National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF).

Course Description:
This activity is intended for emergency medicine physicians, hematologists, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who manage patients with hemophilia. The goal is to increase understanding of the optimal management of these patients when they present to the emergency department (ED). It was developed through a partnership between Medscape Education, the American College of Emergency Physicians, and the National Hemophilia Foundation.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will:
• Discuss common complications related to hemophilia
• Triage and assess hemophilia patients who present to the ED
• Apply latest recommendations for treating hemophilia patients in the emergency department
• Prepare systematic approach to work collaboratively in an interprofessional team to improve the care for patients with hemophilia who present to the ED
