This seminar will highlight available statutory exemptions, traditional planning techniques and advanced estate planning instruments as a means by which to legitimately protect assets from future potential creditors.
After this lecture you will be able to:
1) Discuss probate, wills and powers of attorney
2) Gain an overview of trusts: testamentary trusts, revocable (“living”) trusts, irrevocable asset protection trusts and irrevocable life insurance trusts
3) Explain how to protest your assets from creditors
4) Explain how best to structure trusts in advance of selling your practice to minimize taxes and liability.
