Approximately 7.2 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, and that number is projected to nearly double by 2060. But innovations in diagnosis and treatment have the potential to change that projection if applied properly.
This interactive, gamified learning experience follows a 73-year-old patient through real-world office visits. You’ll explore how to:
- Differentiate normal aging from early cognitive impairment
- Address disparities in Alzheimer’s diagnosis and access to care
- Apply validated cognitive screening tools appropriately
- Identify appropriate candidates for biologic therapy
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Analyze how emerging diagnostic tools can be used to facilitate a faster diagnosis of AD.
- Appraise the benefits of various blood-based biomarker assessments for diagnosis of AD.
- Assess the role of available disease-modifying treatments for patients with AD.
