Overview:
This course aims to equip healthcare professionals with knowledge of their role in emergency preparedness and response to biological weapons.
Goals and Learning Outcomes:
This course prepares healthcare professionals to recognize and respond to biological threat agents, including anthrax, plague, botulism, and smallpox. Participants will learn key clinical features, emergency response protocols, infection control strategies, and the role of public health coordination during bioterrorism events. Emphasis is placed on early detection, proper personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and rapid treatment to reduce mortality and contain outbreaks.
