CVD Epidemiology: Is There an App for That? is organized by American Heart Association (AHA) and would be held during Mar 30, 2015 - Mar 29, 2018.The Target audience basically for this Event Cardiologists. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
In addition, with the transition from paper to electronic health records we will address the opportunities to collect data that is both standardized and de-identified to study health outcomes. Presented at the AHA Epidemiology and Prevention / Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health 2015 Scientific Sessions this activity also include the Presidential Address discussing the culture of health and need for multisource data integration.
Objectives
• Identify current trends and associated opportunities to address modifiable risk factors for CVD to meet the components of “ideal cardiovascular health.”
• Identify mobile tools and technologies that may facilitate patient engagement and behavioral change and provide patient-centric interventions, toward reducing cardiovascular risk and improving cardiovascular care.
• Explain new and emerging electronic data resources and tools useful for cardiovascular research.
• Describe these tools’ potential for conducting cardiovascular research and developing models that can predict CVD or slow its progression.
