Cutaneous Carcinoma: Identifying Skin Cancer and Treatments is organized by Nurse Practitioner Associates for Continuing Education (NPACE).

Description:
Skin cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in the United States and primary care providers are often the first to screen and detect these. Through a combination of case studies and photos, attendees will be able to identify the numerous skin cancers (actinic keratosis, squamous cell, basal cell, dysplastic nevi, and malignant melanoma) as well as determine the appropriate treatment plans. 

Learning Objectives:
As a result of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Identify actinic keratosis and squamous cell cancer and determine an appropriate treatment plan
  • Identify basal cell cancer and determine an appropriate treatment plan
  • Identify dysplastic nevi and malignant melanoma and determine an appropriate treatment plan

NPACE designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.00 contact hours, of which 0.25 is pharmacology credit. Participants should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
