Cultural Diversity Presentation is organized by Appalachian Way Counseling, LLC. This course has been approved for a maximum of 18 Hours.

Overview:
This training is relevant to certification or recertification for educational requirements and professional growth issues, along with treatment planning, discharge and continuing care.

This class provides an introduction to professionals working with culturally diverse individuals, explores barriers to treatment and recovery, and presents recommended treatment approaches for special populations. Diversity factors discussed include racial and ethnic diversity, gender, language, folk beliefs, drug culture, sexual orientation, drugs of choice, and cultural competence. This class will provide an opportunity for aspiring and seasoned counselors to explore their own biases and outlooks
