Community Practice Connections™: Optimizing Care in the Era of an Expanding Armamentarium for Hepatocellular Carcinoma is organized by Physicians' Education Resource, LLC (PER) and will be held from Mar 29, 2019 - Mar 29, 2020.

Target Audience:
This educational program is directed toward medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, hepatologists, and gastroenterologists interested in the treatment of HCC. Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and management of patients with HCC are also invited to participate.

Activity Overview:
Community Practice Connections™: Optimizing Care in the Era of an Expanding Armamentarium for Hepatocellular Carcinoma consists of short video interviews with leading experts in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and brief summaries of clinical data related to the issues discussed. These issues include topics critical to the optimal management of patients with HCC, including first- and second-line treatment options, sequencing, and management of treatment-related toxicities.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
• Describe the mechanistic rationales underlying recent targeted drug development in HCC and how they relate to HCC biology
• Summarize efficacy and safety outcomes from pivotal clinical trials of patients with advanced
HCC
• Evaluate recent clinical trial evidence and patient characteristics to inform optimized sequencing decisions in the management of patients with HCC
• Outline strategies to mitigate the treatment-related toxicities of current and emerging therapies for the management of HCC
