Community Practice Connections: 21st Annual International Congress on Hematologic Malignancies: Focus on Leukemias, Lymphomas, and Myeloma is organized by Physicians Education Resource, LLC (PER) and will be held during Apr 27, 2017 - Apr 27, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is directed toward community-based hematologists and medical oncologists, as well as fellows involved in the treatment and management of patients with hematologic malignancies. Nurse practitioners (NPs), nurses, physician assistants (PAs), pharmacists, researchers, and other healthcare professionals interested in the treatment of hematologic malignancies may also participate. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Overview :
Community Practice Connections: 21st Annual International Congress on Hematologic Malignancies: Focus on Leukemias, Lymphomas and Myeloma consist of a series of interactive clinical vignettes, short video interviews with leading experts in hematologic malignancies, and short summaries of clinical data related to these issues. The video interviews address decision points in the clinical vignettes, as well as questions commonly faced in the community oncology practice setting.
Conference Objectives :
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better prepared to:
• Describe current and evolving genomic and molecular biomarkers that can be used to stratify risk and inform clinical decision making in the management of hematologic malignancies
• Assess landmark clinical trial results in the context of how they impact evolving clinical practice paradigms and can be applied to personalize care and optimize outcomes
• Delineate effective strategies to proactively mitigate and manage predictable side effects related to the management of hematologic malignancies so that treatment outcomes can be maximized
• Evaluate recent clinical trial findings concerning novel compounds or strategies to manage hematologic malignancies
• Consider the therapeutic implications of emerging data on evolving treatment paradigms for patients with hematologic tumors
