Activity Description and Purpose:
Pharmacists providing therapeutic management recommendations for the treatment of community acquired pneumonia in older adults.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this application-based activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review changes to CAP guidelines and implications for practice.
  • Identify risk factors for specific pathogens and resistance in older adults.
  • Examine how medication safety data limits treatment options in older adults.
  • Formulate an optimized antimicrobial treatment plan for patient cases.
