Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity participants should be able to:
• Recognize the acute hemodynamic effects of OSA and its association with cardiac arrhythmias
• Describe the increased risk of cardiovascular disease in patients with OSA
• Describe the pathophysiology linking OSA to cardiovascular disease
• Describe OSA’s role as an independent modifiable risk factor for hypertension
