This webinar will review the ACTION study, which examined perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors related to obesity management. The results identified barriers to obesity management and this webinar will teach steps to overcome these barriers, thus improving your patient care.
Presentation Objectives:
• Discuss strategies to recognize and reduce bias when treating those with obesity
• Apply the findings to personal practice and to assist primary care colleagues in overcoming the barriers to obesity treatment
• Acknowledge what Healthcare Providers in the ACTION study revealed about their perceptions of obesity
Recognize what patients with obesity in the ACTION study revealed about their perceptions of obesity
Discuss the health consequences of weight bias in clinical settings
