Description:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a fast-emerging area of IT in Healthcare.  Increasingly massive data collections are being used for both clinical improvement and population health advances.  The majority of clinicians have only a passing knowledge of the implications of this group of technologies beyond the buzz words. This program will provide a primer on AI and provide detailed examples of current uses as well as a projection for implications 5 years out.


Learning Objectives
• Describe in some detail the variety of technologies that currently make up AI.
• Identify examples of clinical implementations of AI to improve patient care.
• Relate why IBM/Watson did not achieve the desired results in it's its MD Anderson implementation.
• Name the major strategic recommendations set forth in the JASON AI Report.
