Antimicrobial-Resistant Infections & An Overview of Treatment Options is organized by Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS).
Learning Objectives:
• Learners will review the history of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
• Learners will be able to define and summarize resistance mechanisms exhibited by gram-negative bacteria.
• Learners will gain confidence in identifying resistance patterns and their implications on selecting appropriate empiric and targeted antibiotic therapy.
• Learners will appraise their role in helping to slow the spread and development of antibiotic resistance. Learners will apply their knowledge of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and the antibiotics with activity against these organisms to improve patient outcomes.
This program will expire and must be completed by 07/27/26.
