OVERVIEW

Advances in the Treatment of Heart Failure is organized by David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and will be held during Mar 07, 2017 - Mar 06, 2018. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

It is known that heart failure is a major public health problem in the United States with a significant cost-driver being the high incidence of hospitalizations. Dr. Gregg Fonarow presents the newest evidence regarding heart failure treatment in hopes that the appropriate treatment is selected and that the incidence of hospitalizations decreases.

Conference Objectives are :
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Describe pathophysiology of heart failure to understand rationale of heart failure medications.
• Apply evidence-based medications for the treatment of heart failures at the appropriate doses.
• Demonstrate understanding of contraindications to initiation of heart failure medications.
