Advanced Cases for Advanced Practitioners : Managing Clinically Complex Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is organized by Pri-Med and would be held during Aug 13, 2015 - Aug 13, 2016. The target audience for this medical event are basically for physicians. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
This activity addresses specific considerations for advancing therapy in complex T2DM patients, with a particular focus on newer antihyperglycemic agents and combination treatment strategies.
Objectives :
• Use relevant patient characteristics to individualize glycemic targets in T2DM consistent with current treatment guidelines.
• Assess the benefits and limitations of newer antihyperglycemic agents for intensifying therapy in clinically complex patients with T2DM.
• Evaluate the role of insulin, incretins (ie, GLP-1 RAs and DPP-4 inhibitors), SGLT2 inhibitors, or a combinations of these classes of therapies for advancing treatment in clinically complex patients with T2DM.
• Characterize novel approaches to improve glycemic control in clinically complex patients with T2DM according to mechanism of action, efficacy, and safety.
