In this two-hour webinar the presentation will discuss how the Sensory system processing and integration differences can lead to a need to difficulty participating in activities of daily living. With sensory system, development can become abnormal and lead to problematic behaviors and coping strategies. Learn ways to improve movement patterns and daily function. Course instruction methods include lecture, demonstration, videos, case studies and question/answers. (Introductory Level)

Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify at least 2 developmental experiences that will cause the sensory system to dysregulate.
  2. List 3 ways in which the development can become abnormal and lead to problematic behaviors and coping strategies.
  3. Name at least 3 intervention strategies to improve daily functioning.
  4. Name 2 movement patterns which improve sensory functioning.
