In this case presentation, Dr. Mathioudakis shares strategies for intensification of diabetes management that incorporate shared decision-making and real-life patient challenges with evidence-based medicine to develop a regimen that is likely to attain the patient’s A1C target.
Learning Objectives :
• Integrate a patient-centered approach in the management of patients with T2DM, recognizing the importance of shared decision-making and patient-provider communication
• Select the most appropriate GLP-1 RA to optimize management of glycemic excursions
• Incorporate fixed-ratio GLP-1 RA and basal insulin products for the treatment of T2DM
