Description:
The Avera Perinatal TeleECHO is an educational series composed of obstetric related content. This series is designed to connect providers in a collaborative effort on improving obstetric care and access to obstetric care in SD. This is a recording of the live session that discusses the role telehealth can play in monitoring high risk pregnancies.
Objectives:
- Define telehealth and telemedicine services and review the scope of these services in obstetrics
- Describe the Maternity Care Desert in the United States and review methods to optimize care in these locations
- Review the role of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in providing remote obstetric care
- Understand strategies as well as barriers to successful telemedicine implementation in obstetrics
- Develop strategies in a team approach to prevent and manage complications related to high risk pregnancies

Credit Designations:
This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1.0 IPCE credits for learning and change.
