This course provides an overview of the laws and rules pertaining to the practice of nursing within the state of Florida and fulfills the continuing education requirement regarding the regulation of nursing required for licensure as a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, or advanced practice registered nurse.

• Describe the purpose of the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Identify specific rules and laws regarding the practice of nursing in Florida.
