This course reviews evidence-based practices for the evaluation and treatment of eating disorders in children and adolescents. This course focuses on the phenomenology of eating disorders, comorbidity of eating disorders with other psychiatric and medical disorders, and the treatment in children and adolescents.
Learning Objectives:
• Describe the clinical presentation and course, epidemiology, etiology and risk factors, and differential diagnosis and comorbidity associated with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and other related disorders
• Critique recommendations for best assessment and treatment practices for eating disorders
