• ADHD and Substance Abuse in Adults and Adolescents
Identify common psychiatric comorbidities in patients with ADHD; Summarize the long-term outcomes of early treatment for ADHD; Develop strategies for management of concurrent ADHD and substance use disorder in children and young adults; Counsel patients about the health and legal risks associated with stimulant misuse; Select pharmacologic therapy for ADHD to optimize response and minimize risk for misuse.
• Advance Care Planning in Mental Health Settings
Identify the documentation integral to ACP; Understand the utility of the advance directive; Conduct ACP on an appropriate timeline; Facilitate completion of documentation relevant to physician orders for life-sustaining treatment; Discuss assignment of code status.

Recognize common behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD); Analyze the various models that explain development of BPSD; Assess patients for BPSD; Identify effective and ineffective nonpharmacologic methods for improvement of BPSD; Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic agents to manage BPSD.
