XIV Spanish Society for Palliative Care (SECPAL) International Conference is organized by Spanish Society for Palliative Care / Sociedad Espanola de Cuidados Paliativos (SECPAL), Bco Congresses and will be held from Oct 19 - Nov 02, 2021.

Description:
The XIV SECPAL International Conference is a meeting place to seek answers and debate around these and many other questions. Designed in an online format distributed over three weeks between October and November 2021. They want to count on you to learn together, to continue building universal palliative care. They are committed to equity, and to promote it they need together to lead advanced change, improving and surpassing ourselves every day.

The challenges we are currently experiencing are becoming increasingly complex in various dimensions. Not only has the COVID-19 pandemic situation changed our lives, but society from an anthropological, cultural and technological point of view is evolving rapidly. Bioethics and communication skills remain a fundamental foundation in our role as a professional collective in global society. The health evidence in the field of palliative care is increasingly enriched based on the efforts of many professionals. However, it is urgent to reflect, and clarify concepts about our leadership in the field of health that concerns us. Do we agree that each of you is a leader in your workplace and community when it comes to end-of-life care? Do we truly believe we are capable of influencing our environment to generate positive change? Do we know how to be leaders of our own development by cultivating compassion and resilience? Are we aware of the exercise of gratitude for personal and professional self-care? Are we capable of generously welcoming perspectives diverging from our own? Is it more difficult to work as a team because of the added exceptional complexity? How to generate new kind knowledge from fascinating, although disturbing historical moment that we live in our culture and society? What strategies do we need to develop to integrate the new evidence in palliative care health into our clinical practice?

In these times of change, the commitment of Palliative Care with comprehensive and person-centered care is reiterated, combining the human values ??of its professionals with rigorous technical foundations.
