When to Worry about White Lesions in the Oral Cavity is organized by University of Louisville (UL) School of Dentistry and will be held on May 25, 2023.
Description:
Although the fundamentals of recognizing and diagnosing white lesions have remained relatively unchanged throughout the years, the treatment options for these lesions are constantly being evaluated and improved upon. The most frequent neoplastic and non-neoplastic white lesions will be covered in this course, as well as how to interpret biopsy results and adopt or obtain evidence-based management.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Acquire various diagnoses of white lesions based on location, demarcation, and texture.
• Understand when and when not to biopsy a white lesion.
• Interpret biopsy results.
• Mange or know when to refer for definitive treatment when a white lesion is outside their scope of practice.
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
