Virtual CT Colonography Workshop is organized by European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) / Europaische Gesellschaft fur Gastrointestinal und Abdominal Radiologie and will be held from Mar 23 - 24, 2023.

Description:
CT colonography is a noninvasive examination of the entire colon for the detection of colorectal neoplasia. Dedicated training in performing and analyzing the examination is vital for successfully implementing CTC in clinical practice.

The clinical relevance of colorectal adenomas and cancers as well as the role of CTC in colorectal cancer screening will be discussed. Technical aspects with regards to patient preparation, scanning protocols, and image interpretation strategies will be presented in a practical format. A wide range of colorectal pathologies as well as pitfalls seen at CT colonography will be interactively discussed and recommendations for reporting will be given.

Learning Objectives:
• To be aware of clinical indications and contraindications of CTC
• To learn about bowel preparation regimens, including fecal tagging
• To understand how to perform a CTC study (colon distention, imaging protocols, strategies for dose reduction)
• To discuss different 2D and 3D reading approaches and the role of Computed Aided Detection (CAD)
• To review the CTC appearance of the normal colon and basic CTC imaging features
• To understand the role of CTC in colorectal cancer screening
• To describe the imaging features of colorectal polyps and cancer
• To discuss the significance of flat lesions and serrated polyps
• To understand the role of CTC in diverticular disease
• To give practical suggestions how to deal with extracolonic findings
• To learn how to generate a useful CTC report
• To obtain experience on challenging cases and potential pitfalls
• To provide interactive discussions based on clinical cases that may help in daily practice
