OVERVIEW

Team Approaches to High-Quality, Patient-Centered Palliative Care is organized by American Society on Aging (ASA) and will be held on Dec 13, 2023.

Description:
“There’s nothing more we can do,” is an insufficient but all-too-common answer to the problem of chronic and end-stage disease processes.

This presentation will define palliative care as a medical service that acknowledges the person beyond their disease process. The discussion covers multidisciplinary, patient-centered team approaches to meet the comprehensive needs of seriously ill patients, reduce the burden of symptoms, and improve quality of life.

Participants in this webinar will be able to:
• Define palliative care.
• Identify when palliative care is appropriate.
• Evaluate team approaches relative to the palliative care continuum.
• Analyze systems-level considerations in implementing palliative care.
• Review practical resources for palliative care.

Additional Details Will Be Posted as Soon as Information is Available.
