Learn Serve Lead 2021: The Virtual Experience will be a virtual offering with the option to take part in 36 different sessions. The three-day conference consists of three half-days of programming. If participants take part in a session at each time block November 8-10, they will have participated in 12 sessions. All will have the option to participate in recordings of the other 24 sessions following the meeting. The meeting attracts medical school deans, teaching hospital CEOs, medical school and teaching hospital faculty, researchers, administrators, residents and students.
Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Think in new ways about academic medicine through exposure to thought leaders and opportunities to learn from peers.
• Create practical solutions for complex issues through collaboration.
• Assess the unprecedented disruption and transformation that has taken place in 2021 and how academic medicine, medical schools and teaching hospitals have been impacted.
• Evaluate how academic medicine—across mission areas—can prepare for future disruptions.
• Address the immediate challenges and opportunities in transitioning to a post-Covid world and consider how each of us will help resolve ongoing issues.
• Confront racial bias and inequality in society as well as within academia and health care.
• Apply new concepts and tools for leading innovation and cultural change in your organization.
