As medical comorbidities in pregnancy become increasingly common, the need for up-skilling in Obstetric Medicine is vital —ensuring that pregnant patients with acute or long-term conditions receive safe, effective and evidence-based care.
This half-day online conference offers a practical and up-to-date overview for healthcare professionals across the world who are involved in the care of pregnant patients who present with medical problems. Whether you work in obstetrics, hospital medicine, accident and emergency, anaesthetics or the community, this course is designed to enhance your clinical knowledge, confidence and decision-making.
Designed for a broad audience—including doctors, nurses, midwives and students—the programme will explore both common and critical presentations across a range of specialties.

What is “normal” in pregnancy: physiology, investigations, prescribing and reliable information sources
Managing breathlessness, chest pain and palpitations
Sepsis and diabetic emergencies in pregnancy
Neurological symptoms: seizures, headaches
Cardiac arrest in pregnancy: emergency response, debrief and communication.
