LGBTQ+ Youth and Oral Health Course is organized by Seattle-King County Dental Society (SKCDS) and will be held on Mar 08, 2022. This course has been approved for a maximum of 2 CE Credits.
Description:
A growing segment of young people in the United States identify as something other than heterosexual. As this cohort increases visibility and social acceptance, it is important for health care providers to be knowledgeable about gender identity and sexual orientation and how these qualities impact the provision of care. The objectives of this virtual course, presented by Dr. Scott Schwartz, are to understand the etiology of gender and sexual identity development, appreciate the implications of these identities in oral health, and learn how to manage the clinical environment for culturally competent care.
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
