Sand tray therapy is an intervention that can be used with clients across the lifespan in play therapy sessions. It provides a non-verbal medium for clients to work through a variety of issues like trauma, anxiety and grief in play therapy sessions. 

This 2-day highly interactive and experiential workshop will provide the play therapist with the foundational knowledge and skill to implement sand tray interventions into their play therapy practice. 

Participants will learn how to understand and apply play sandtray theory and interventions and how to set up a sandtray box. They will learn how to facilitate sand tray play therapy sessions for clients of all ages, including mobile and digital applications for clinicians who have limited space. Additionally, attendees will learn how to use sand tray as an assessment tool to aid them in play therapy diagnosis and treatment planning. Time will be spent exploring various play therapy seminal theories including Adlerian play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy and Gestalt Play Therapy. This popular workshop will equip the play therapist to develop their confidence and competence in implementing sand tray in a variety of settings.
