OVERVIEW

General Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) Course is organized by Unilabs Academy and will be held from Nov 09 - 11, 2026.

Description:
This online cardiovascular MRI course provides a comprehensive introduction to Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) for radiologists and cardiologists. The programme combines expert-led lectures with individual case readings and interactive group discussions to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical reporting skills.

Participants will learn to recognise imaging features of ischemic and non-ischemic cardiomyopathies, myocarditis, pericardial disease, cardiac masses, and valvular heart disease through real clinical cases. The course also emphasizes structured interpretation, reporting, and the clinical application of CMR findings.

This fellowship is designed to strengthen confidence in interpreting CMR examinations and support participants in integrating cardiac MRI into routine clinical practice or preparing for further subspecialty training.

Unilabs Academy online radiology courses are held in a virtual classroom environment on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions using their camera and microphone to recreate the face-to-face learning experience.

In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of Dr. Parimalasingham. Online sessions are recorded so you can review them on your own time following the training.

Learning Objectives:

  • Acquire fundamental knowledge of CMR physics, sequences, and imaging protocols.
  • Develop confidence in evaluating common cardiac diseases using CMR.
  • Improve structured CMR reporting and communication with referring clinicians.
  • Understand the clinical indications and role of CMR in patient management.

Programme will include:

  • Expert-led lectures covering CMR principles and common cardiac pathologies.
  • Individual and group-based CMR case reading sessions.
  • Reviews of common and advanced cardiac MRI cases.
  • Practical discussions on workflow, reporting, and clinical application.
  • Interactive group case discussions.
  • Plenty of time for Q&A with the radiologist mentor.
