COVID-19 and Cancer – Time for a Reset to repair the damage done is organized by Cancer Drug Development Forum (CDDF) and will be held on Jan 15, 2024.
Webinar Outline:
The COVID-19 Pandemic and national lockdowns have had a significant impact on cancer services and cancer patients, which many think may take a decade to resolve. At a European level, as many as one hundred million screening tests may not have been performed and over a million cancer diagnoses may have been missed during the peak of the pandemic.
In this webinar, we will explore in detail the different impacts that the pandemic has had on cancer research and cancer care across Europe, from both a health professional and a patient perspective. We will also highlight the absolute primacy of data, both in capturing in detail the extent of the disruption, but also in providing the intelligence to help address and mitigate the challenges going forward. Consideration of how we can make cancer health systems more resilient and agile will also be discussed and debated so that the lessons we learned from COVID will inform a better, more data-driven and patient-centred cancer control plan going forward.
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
