OVERVIEW

Canadian Association of Pathologists (CAP) Annual Review Course 2026 is organized by Canadian Association of Pathologists (CAP) / Association canadienne des pathologistes (ACP) and will be held from Jan 26 - 30, 2026.

Objectives:
At the end of the meeting participants will be able to:

  • Review and update core medical knowledge in preparation for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification examinations in Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology (formerly AP), Diagnostic and Clinical Pathology (formerly GP), and Hematological Pathology.
  • Develop strategies for optimal preparation and exam performance in the written, practical, and oral components of the examination, and understand examination formats.
  • Discuss and assess the significance of new findings and observations in the context of current literature.
  • Demonstrate competence in the non-medical expert CanMEDS roles, in particular laboratory management and quality assurance.

Accreditation:
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and approved by the Canadian Association of Pathologists. You may claim a maximum of 35.75 hours. A certificate of attendance will be available for you to print and/or save at the end of the Day 5 survey link.

This activity is an Accredited Self-Assessment Program (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Canadian Association of Pathologists. If you complete all pre and post-tests you may claim a maximum of 2.0 hours. To earn Section 3 MOC credits for the 2026 Resident Review Course, you must complete both the Pre-Test and Post-Test self assessment questions and actively participate in the live sessions. The link for the post-test will be sent out within a week of the end of the event to those that completed the pre-test.
