Building Bridges: Conflict Resolution & Communication Skills for Helping Professionals is organized by CEU Creations.
Description:
This interactive training will strengthen the conflict management and communication skills of helping professionals in both clinical and workplace settings. Participants will explore common sources of conflict (values, roles, communication breakdowns, and systemic barriers) through an ethical and culturally responsive lens, with different professions’ codes of ethics woven throughout.
Using self-assessments, role-plays, case studies, and organizational mapping, learners will practice active listening, reframing, validation, and evidence-informed resolution approaches (including Thomas-Kilmann conflict styles, interest-based negotiation, and restorative practices). The session will conclude with action planning so participants leave with concrete strategies to implement immediately in their agencies and teams.

By attending this training, you will be able to:
1. Identify common sources of conflict in social work and helping professions.
2. Apply evidence-based conflict resolution models in practice.
