OVERVIEW

Beyond the Joints: A Whole-Body Approach to Psoriatic Arthritis Care Through Integrated Obesity Management is organized by Decera Clinical Education and will be held on Aug 12, 2026.

Description:
Obesity is a common and clinically consequential comorbidity in psoriatic arthritis (PsA), contributing to increased disease activity, reduced treatment response, cardiometabolic risk, and diminished quality of life. Learners will examine the bidirectional relationship between PsA and obesity and explore practical strategies for integrating obesity screening, management, and patient-centered conversations into comprehensive PsA care.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Integrate evidence on the bidirectional relationship between PsA and obesity into clinical decision-making to improve disease activity and treatment outcomes.
  • Implement evidence-based screening and management strategies for obesity and related comorbidities to improve disease activity and treatment response in patients with PsA.
  • Apply patient-centered communication strategies to effectively engage patients in discussions about weight and metabolic health as part of comprehensive PsA management.
