The Association for Academic Psychiatry (AAP) is organizing the Association for Academic Psychiatry (AAP) Annual Meeting 2021. This annual meeting will commence on 8^th September and end on 10^th September, 2021.

Theme: "Bridging the Divide: Reducing Inequity Through Education"

Target Audience:

The AAP annual meeting is designed for psychiatric residents and fellows, psychiatrists, and for all those medical students who are interested in teaching psychiatry, learning about academic development and conduct educational research. Other significant professionals who are involved in education, teaching and academic care also will find the meeting relevant.

Description:

The AAP annual meeting is designed for psychiatrists who show immense interest in teaching psychiatry, learn academic development and conduct research on psychiatry education. Interactive workshops that are specially designed to impart a wide array of academic topics form the core of the meeting.

The “How To” sessions teach academic and leadership development, resident and faculty teacher development, use of technology in teaching and a variety of other topics in resident and medical student education. The meeting is a wonderful way to interact with psychiatry leaders and academic psychiatrists in an inviting and casual setting that is filled with informal sharing, accessible workshops, and academic mentoring. It is an ideal venue for fellows and residents to develop interest not only in education but also for junior faculty to launch an education-based career, and senior faculty to expand their skills. You can also meet colleagues from across the industry.
